We found this local tapas cafe by chance and it’s absolutely a gem. They turned us away as it was fully booked. But after little pleading, they opened up a table for us! Therefore I recommend booking in advance as this place is hugely popular amongst the local people.The staff here was friendly and speaks little English but we loved it as it’s very local and less touristy. There’s no English menu. We let the waiter to randomly pick 4 tapas for us and they were all amazing. We got clams, “white bait”, calamari and prawns.

A local friend told us about this place and I must say it’s the best food we’ve gotten throughout our entire trip! Only locals go here. Not a single tourist. Very special!

We decided to look out of town for something less touristy, more local. We found this place with good reviews on Google Maps so gave it a try.Unfortunately when we got there they said they had no tables for tonight or tomorrow. Although there were plenty of tables, it was up to the chef how many covers he would accept. After a bit of pleading, the chef agreed to serve us.As we know very little Spanish and the waiter knew little English, we decided to just let him choose dishes. They were excellent choices including whitebait, prawns, calamari and clams in delicious sauces or batter.The food was excellent but not cheap. It was about 72 for two of us for four dishes, plus tiramisu to share and one glass of beer.

We heard a lot of positive comments about this place . We went yesterday for the first time with friends and we loved it . The terrace , the environment and the food are amazing.Moreover, the staff and the service is very nice .Typical Catalan food , with multiple dishes and tapas .Really enjoyed our evening and we highly recommend everyone who wants to experience Catalan atmosphere in non-touristic environment
